In what is clearly a precautionary measure, the Kerala Government has reintroduced masks and sanitisers in public places and vehicles. The new instruction would remain valid for one month.
In a gazette notification released to the media on Monday (January 16), the Government said the measure has become necessary as Covid-19 continues to be a threat to public health. The gazette asked people to wear masks at all public places, workplaces, wherever people gather, and all types of vehicles.
It asked those running cinemas, shops, commercial establishments and offices to keep sanitisers and soap to enable their patrons to clean their hands.
