Kerala has won the Best Family Destination in India Award   at   the Lonely Planet Magazine India (LPMI) Travel Awards 2016.

The Lonely Planet Magazine India  said the annual awards  showcase the best travel experiences available to Indians and anoint the best service providers, the preferred places to stay and the destinations Indians  .preferred most to visit.

Besides being named the best family destination for a holiday, the South Indian state  has also been nominated for  the best destination in the ‘culture’ and ‘ relax’ categories.

Kerala Tourism had earlier won the Ulysses Prize of the United Nations World Tourism
