Dubai: The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, launched 'Visit India Year 2023' campaign at the Arabian Travel Mart (ATM Dubai 2023) here on Monday (May 1).
The 'Visit India Year 2023' campaign is aimed at highlighting India's diverse tourism offerings and the country's commitment to sustainable tourism practices.
The Ministry of Tourism plans to use the country's participation in the Arabian Travel Market to strengthen ties with the Middle East and North Africa tourism industry, including travel agents, tour operators, airlines, and media representatives.
The 65-strong Indian delegation has representatives of State Tourism Departments/UTs, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Hotel Chains, Airlines, etc.
In the course of the coming two days, the Indian delegation will participate in various networking events, B2B meetings, and media interactions to promote India as a tourism destination and establish partnerships with industry stakeholders.
Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sunjay Sudhir launched the UAE leg of the ‘Visit India Year 2023’ campaign and inaugurated the India pavilion.
Among those present on the occasion were Gyan Bhushan, Senior Economic Advisor, Ministry of Tourism, GOI, K. Lakshminaryanan Kannan, Tourism Minister, Puducherry, Rohan Khaunte, Tourism Minister, Goa and Arun Srivastava, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Tourism, GOI.
The India Pavilion gives the visitor a snapshot of India's rich cultural and natural heritage, including its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, wildlife sanctuaries, and spiritual destinations and is targeted at Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.
The 'Incredible India' stand at ATM Dubai 2023 is in Hall No. 5, Stand AS5210.
