Sheikh Ahmed opens Arabian Travel Market 2023

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 is open! Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market 2023 at the World Trade Centrre in Dubai on Monday. 
Sheikh Ahmed was accompanied by Vasyl Zhygalo, Portfolio Director, RX Global; Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director Middle East, ATM; and a host of other senior officials. 
The four-day 30th edition of ATM, which is being held on the theme 'Working Towards Net Zero', features over 2,000 exhibitors, representatives from more than 150 countries and an anticipated 34,000 attendees. In terms of the number of exhibitors participating in the ATM 2023, the show has grown by 27 per cent as compared to last year.
As many as 20 sessions across venues such as Global Stage, Travel Tech Stage and brand-new Sustainability Hub are happening on the opening day of ATM 2023. 
Sessions on themes such as 'Technology: The Enabler of Sustainable Travel', 'Sustainability in the Travel Industry: Who Pays?' and 'Enhancing the Customer Experience Through AI' are also being held on the opening day.
Day Two of ATM 2023 will see Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, speak on the ATM Global Stage at the session on 'Emirates Returns to Growth'. 
The discussion will cover a range of pertinent topics such as rising passenger traffic and challenges and opportunities that the carrier expects to encounter over the coming years.
The session on 'Getting Into the Mind of a Digital Consumer', which will take place on the Travel Tech stage on Day Two will feature speakers from Euromonitor, TikTok and Amadeus. 
The session on 'Green Technology for Responsible Tourism', scheduled to happen at the Sustainability Hub on Day Two will see experts share insights into the role of innovation in helping to minimise carbon emissions, water consumption and waste across the sector.
